"George Fox was born Jan. 29, 1791 in Georgia, died Aug. 27, 1840, Carroll Parish, La. Ensign in Cumberland College Co., 19th Regiment, Davidson Co., TN., Militia. 1810 lawyer of Dickson Co., TN, where he engaged in an iron ore business. Married on March 7, 1813 in Montgomery Co., TN. to Mary Anna Wills, born Nov. 12, 1796, Fluvanna Co., died Mar. 13, 1889, Stephensville, TX., daughter of Benjamin & Martha Wills."
